2018 Survey Sponsor
Thank you to all the respondents in our fourth APMC group survey. To keep things simple again, we have replicated the format of the previous surveys to make it easier for comparison.
The 2018 survey results are similar to the 2017 results. Unfortunately, there were only 323 respondents in this survey compared with 383 in 2017. This means that just over 3% of the APMC membership completed the survey. Salary averages have mixed results, but we do see a 2.9% pay increase for property managers. But the biggest difference in 2018 is the comments regarding jobs and industry. The main points on job satisfaction are around people and colleagues while the main points on dissatisfaction were mostly around stress and disrespect caused by clients and employers. The industry comments were also mainly negative with many respondents mentioning low wages, fee cutting, employer attitudes and competitor tactics.
